06Journey
From esports to software engineering
From leading esports teams to designing systems built for scale.
2019 — 2022
Competitive Free Fire In-Game Leader
Before transitioning into software engineering, served as the In-Game Leader for multiple Free Fire teams and represented Nepal at national and international levels. Won 3-nation, 4-nation, and 7-nation tournaments multiple times, while earning repeated top-three finishes in official competitions across fields of millions of teams. The experience developed strategic decision-making, clear communication, and composure under pressure.
2022 — 2026
B.Sc. CSIT, NePathya College
Tribhuvan University. Coursework spanning Data Structures & Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Architecture.
During B.Sc. CSIT
National Hackathon Runner-up
Engineered AI features including speech transcription, automated translation, RAG-based Q&A, and conversational agents.
During B.Sc. CSIT
Nepathon Advisor
Supported technical execution and infrastructure planning for a national hackathon, assisting participant engineering teams.

Projects
Selected work
Three systems I designed and built, shown in motion.
SkySearch
A personal search engine with a distributed pipeline.
A 3-stage search pipeline (crawl, index, rank) split into independently scalable microservices, with Kafka decoupling each stage and a hybrid BM25 + PageRank ranking model for sub-second relevance scoring.
- 3-stage pipeline split into independently scalable microservices
- 2-stage de-duplication using URL normalization + in-memory Redis
- Kafka queues decouple crawler, indexer, and ranker for fault isolation
e-Mistiri
A microservices platform for vehicle servicing and garage discovery.
An independently deployable microservices platform using geohashing and spatial indexes for fast garage discovery, with distributed locks and circuit breakers keeping bookings consistent under load.
- Independently deployable microservices with isolated data stores
- Geohashing + PostgreSQL spatial indexes for fast garage discovery
- Elasticsearch for location search, PostgreSQL for relational data
TraceMark
A dependency-free prototype for detecting image reuse.
A plain Node.js content provenance system built with a focus on protecting creators and businesses from the roughly $50 billion digital piracy problem by detecting exact and modified image reuse.
- LSB watermarking repeated across pixels for resilient exact-match detection
- 8x8 average-hash comparison recognizes resized and recompressed images
- AES-256-GCM metadata encryption with a JSON registry and detection history
